At Turpin Meadow Ranch, we have designed our programs so that the entire family can participate in activities and dine together. Our ranch experience does not provide a program where adults and children participate separately.

Our children’s program consists of the same activities as the adults but planned for their skill level. These activities are offered at the same time so you can enjoy the same activity without being concerned for your child. Your children are welcome to participate in all activities that you do with a few exceptions. Unfortunately due to insurance restrictions, some activities* are for kids age 6 years and older. If you have children under 6, we will provide other activities during that time so it does not keep you from participating. In order to create a family participatory environment, we do not have completely separate programs for your children.

All Children
Our skilled wranglers will teach your children riding techniques, and how to brush are care for their horse
We provide separate fly-fishing lessons for children who want to learn.

Children Under 6
Children under 6 are permitted to ride a horse that is led using a halter around the corrals by one of our wranglers.
For children under 3, we will provide daycare for an additional charge but it is not included in the inclusive package. This must be arranged prior to your arrival.
Your child must be over six to participate in horseback riding, whitewater rafting, a scenic float trip, or camp out

Children Over 6
We offer easy trail rides to children who are not comfortable riding on the more advanced trails with their parents.
We also have a campout in a tepee on Friday night for kids 6 and over.
