Horseback Riding

400300turpinhorses.jpgRiding in the Bridger Teton National Forest you will see some of the most spactacular scenery in the world. Our sure-footed horses will take you through rivers, alpine meadows and mountain tops. Our rides range from one hour to all day and are geared to your experience. We offer slow scenic walking rides, intermediate and advanced rides where experienced riders can really enjoy our horses. With a carefully selected string of horses we have just the right mount for your riding ability.

Your guest ranch riding experience begins with a horse orientation to go over safety and the basics. Everyone is encouraged to help with chores. All guests get a horse assigned to them for the week and kids are welcome to help feed, groom, and saddle their own mount. At the end of the week all of our guests get to show off their horemanship skills in our guest rodeo.

Whitewater Rafting

If you have never been  whitewater river rafting this is part of a trip to Wyoming that should not be missed. Turpin Meadow Ranch staff will drive you to your whitewater adventure on the Snake River. This is class 3-4 rapids which provides excitement for everyone. Check with the ranch for rates and minimum age restrictions.

Fishing

fisherman.JPGWhether you’re an experienced angler or a novice, it’s hard to beat the thrill of catching a 16-inch cutthroat trout in the presence of the majestic Tetons! Never been fly fishing before? Casting lessons, learning to match the hatch, and reading the water are all first steps that our guides can show you. Classic free stone areas and canyon pocket waters, streamside entomology, and a variety of creeks, rivers, and lakes all provide challenges for the experienced fisherman.

Mountain Biking

If you are ready for a break from horseback riding another great way to see our trails is on one of our mountain bikes. Just stop by the office to check one out and to get a map of the Bridger Teton National Forest trails.
